I am Cuban and damn proud my Great Grandmother voted for Gillum.

She would be proud to see what her vote did to support democracy in our country. As a legal immigrant who escaped Cuba in 1958, she fled and homesteaded Miami, FL to be my dad's side of the family's home. A lifelong democrat. She was so dedicated, having voted twice for Gillum Tuesday even though she died on November 5, 1985.

My dad voted Republican until the day he died. After that he voted Democrat
