I’m not talkin’ about your mental state; I’m referring to geographic locale.

Question:
If the state in which you currently live was a sovereign nation that was asked/invited to join the Union today, do you think most voters within your borders would vote YES or NO on such an affiliation?

Maybe I’m a fool, but I’d like to believe this question crosses party lines.

Kind of a hard question to answer if we don’t know what our hypothetical sovereign state is like without being a part of the union.

We would do whatever the ballot harvesting at Ebenezer Baptist church tells us.

If you carve out about 8 or 9 metro Atlanta counties, maybe. With Atlanta in the mix, heck no.

ETA I take that back, it would still be a no-go without ATL. Demographics would be the stumbling block

70% No
30% Yes
But they might join in Union with likeminded states.

If we’re voting to join the current military and economic power that exists today, absolutely yes. The benefits for Texas relative to what our current state of affairs would be as our own nation would be virtually innumerable.

El oh el. However I'd likely be the odd man out in my tree-hugging, Fayetteville neighborhood.
