The 9/11 Museum Has A Problematic Legacy. Can It Be Saved?
The museum's handling of the Sept. 11 attacks has long received criticisms, which have become more glaring as the 20th anniversary approaches, scholars say.

It results in an overly simplistic and uncritical narrative, promoting an excessive sense of patriotism and nationalism — ironically, much like what happened immediately after 9/11 itself.
quote:
The sections of the museum that focus on the political context of the attacks frame terrorism as a simplistic “us vs. them” issue and emphasize Americans’ “unity” and “solidarity” in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. In addition, there are only brief mentions of the Islamophobic and racist attacks that Muslim Americans, Sikh Americans, and Americans of Middle Eastern, North African and South Asian descent faced after 9/11.
The museum also does little to differentiate between the violent extremists who perpetrated the attacks and Islam itself. Consequently, it creates a harmful conflation of terrorism with Muslim identity — a theme that Tamara Issak, assistant professor at St. John’s University, has documented in her research, including in a paper entitled “How Does It Feel to be a Problem at the 9/11 Museum?”

Well their fanatical religious views and hatred of the west along with hijacking airplanes and murdering 3,000 people drawing us into decade long conflicts sort of makes it an “us vs. them “ deal.
They should’ve stayed their arses home and not attacked us . Pretty simple actually.

We should kick that bitch out of the country. Instead, she’ll probably win an award for this shite.

She is obviously IQ intelligent, but isn't it strange that so many of the smartest people are the dumbest SOBs alive because they overthink everything

So basically, the Huffington Post and most of the media in the USA, has forgotten.

Wave a CCP flag in front of her and see if she salutes.

So this doesn't boil down to America vs terrorist groups that want us dead? What are we missing?

Make your own museum about that. It wouldn't cost much to make, you just need a single small room.

Probably because Islam does little to differentiate between the violent extremists who perpetrated the attacks and Islam.

My wife ask about my thoughts post 9/11 and this sympathetic narrative about not blaming the guilty due to the nature of their belief system is problematic.

That is correct. They would very much prefer that we villify Americans. Subtle treason

Hell, I read the other day that the National Archives have now posted "Warnings" in regard to the innate Principles of our Founding Documents.
There is NO WAY that elections, voting and talk can settle this polarized, "First Principle" conflict. It's ultimately going to be pick the Parallel Universe ("many mansions") of your natural, preferential choice.
It's Orwell's "Animal Farm" vs Norman Rockwell's 'America'.

I am waiting with bated breath for her next article about the overly simplistic and uncritical narrative coverage of 1/6/21

This is what should be promoted but heaven forbid they allow anything to promote unity solidarity despite our political differences.

Make no mistake and have no shame in calling these lefties what they are - zealots. There is no need to look at this for anything else but that it was an attack on our nation that resulted in significant loss of life.
