This is similar to critiquing gun policy when you've never held a firearm. Coyote has long been used to label sex/human traffickers crossing the border.

Like the Iditarod, Mexicans have trained teams of sled coyotes to pull people across the border.
Somehow this is less suspicious looking than them just sneaking across on foot in the middle of the night as it boasts a 98% success rate.

With all the discussion and news about illegal immigration over the last several years, it's amazing that someone wouldn't know what a coyote is, even if they followed the issue lightly. I mean, at this point if you don't know what a coyote is there is an excellent chance you don't know much about anything.
