Media is claiming that his approval ratings are dropping in FL because of the way he is handling covid.

quote:

Voters say 59 - 35 percent that they would not like to see Ron DeSantis run for president in 2024. Republicans say 67 - 24 percent that they would like to see DeSantis run for president, while Democrats say 96 - 2 percent and independents say 61 - 35 percent that they would not like to see him run for president.

I see the media trying to take this man hard; There is just no way I see this man losing to Charlie Christ or Nikki Fried

They’re putting him on full attack like they did Trump in 2020

I think Desantis is a gift to FL... the snowbird Karens from Connecticut that are covid crazy will stay put and not move to FL; while Conservatives who see a free and open state will move in

People have the freedom to experience the consequences of their decisions. There is nothing more American than that.

It doesn't really matter how popular he is in Florida. He'll either run for President in '24, or be Trumps choice as VP. He's VERY popular nationally. And the reason you see 96%(!) of dems not wanting him to run is because they know how strong he is.

Ahhhh I see you are reading the NYT and LA Times hit pieces on Florida to a T. This is about people actually in Florida and what they think about their governor. I could give a rats arse about the mainstream media's opinion of him

I interpret that as people thinking he should serve a full term instead of running for president. I think most voters usually feel that way no matter the state

Fried is an underdog to win the primary. She has made a fool of herself trying to impress the MSNBC types.

He will win re election hands down. He is a good Governor; and he was the lawyer for the SEALs & JTF GTMO.

DeSantis received his Reserve Naval officer's commission and assignment to the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) in 2004 at the U.S. Naval Reserve Center in Dallas, Texas, while still a student at Harvard Law School. He completed Naval Justice School in 2005. Later that year, he received orders to the JAG Trial Service Office Command South East at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, as a prosecutor. In 2006, he was promoted from lieutenant, junior grade to lieutenant. He worked for the commander of Joint Task Force-Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO), working directly with detainees at the Guantanamo Bay Joint Detention Facility.[15][16][17]

In 2007, DeSantis reported to the Naval Special Warfare Command Group in Coronado, California, where he was assigned to SEAL Team One and deployed to Iraq[18] with the troop surge as the Legal Advisor to the SEAL Commander, Special Operations Task Force-West in Fallujah.[15][16][17]

DeSantis returned to the U.S. in April 2008, at which time he was reassigned to the Naval Region Southeast Legal Service. The U.S. Department of Justice appointed him to serve as an Assistant U.S. Attorney[18] at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Middle District of Florida. DeSantis was assigned as a trial defense counsel until his honorable discharge from active duty in February 2010. He concurrently accepted a reserve commission as a lieutenant in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the US Navy Reserve.[19] He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Iraq Campaign Medal.[15][16][17]

The majority of people here love him.

The outspoken crowd (white liberal women) on Facebook do not seem to like him. That must be where the MSM is getting their perspective from.

How do most feel about the masks in schools? MSM is trying to act like he is actively killing children. Many Karens on FB call him "Deathsantis"

We love him. If you’re a covidiot, you probably don’t. Last election there was nothing but Trump flags, rallies, etc. and I’m talking about the three SE liberal counties. We outnumber them by a lot.

First of all don't trust the media, but the race is Trump's to lose.

I live in the Florida panhandle for most of the year and I can unequivocally tell you that everything this guy is saying right here is 100% bull shite. Where do liberals even come up with these stories?

Believe it or not, his popularity took a tiny hit with the delta variant. At least here where I'm at in Duval. I'm all for what he is doing and how he is handling things, but those in the center left, despise the man.

The Dims can run shade all they want but they won’t be able to steal it in FL. Only PB, Broward and Dade can try to cheat but they will be watched like a hawk. The rest of the state is on lock. The mayor of Pb county is a lib but he’s not a dumbass and has been working closely with Desantis.

More important question is who is in the batters box. Make sure it's handed over to the proper person is what we need to worry about.
