How much of history is as accurate as what we are now told?

Seeing the media move goalpost, change facts, and completely refuse to report on certain stories today makes me wonder how much of what we know as history is accurate.
What are going to be the history book “facts” from 2020?

There are so many sources of 2020 history that in 500 years it's going to be difficult to erase everything. There will be spin but not erasure.
I love ancient history and have found that most of the best surviving stuff is because tyrants wanted a foreign writer to come and chronicle their life. It was ego.
"You are a Greek?? I hate the Greeks!! I will kill you !!"
'I want to write the story of your life.'
"Welcome, have a seat."

Bingo. It has been revised for centuries.

You can find out for yourself in some cases. Some of the people involved in History actually wrote books about it.

So many sources of 2020 history? Only if the electricity stays on.

A shite ton of history about Nazi Germany is not correct.

Tons of it is inaccurate. From what we know about Caesar, a lot of it is from his personal biased memoirs. This is a fascination of mine.
Here’s one major conspiracy theory I have from history: Olympia had her husband Phillip killed so that Alexander could inherit his army. She’s written into history in such a way, that I find it highly unlikely that conspiracy in his death didn’t involve her.

Well, ya got a point there. We know about the movie Idiocracy. Before that there was Martin Mull's book 'History of White People in America'.
In 500 years they will dig for artifacts and find refrigerator magnets. And they will exclaim: 'This was indeed an advanced culture.'

They were simply illiterate. There are some things we can know by archeology and genetics to know if they were real or false. Like we assumed for a while Troy was a myth, but we discovered its ruins eventually. The only major, major historical event we’re not really sure of what happened is the collapse of the Bronze Age due to not conflicting records, but conflicting geographic, archeological, and genetic records. We have a pretty good idea on the major events from like 3000 BC onward. It’s the details we don’t have though.

I don’t think there’s a major evil empire we understand more than Nazi Germany. We have Goebbels’ diary for God’s sake and tons surviving accounts from Hitler’s inner circle. We understand what happened in Soviet Russia and Maoist China far less than what happened in Nazi Germany.

So this has been going on long before Epstein and the clintons. Ancient pizzagate.
