I dislike liberal policies as much as anyone but Lilly white northeastern or west coast liberal towns are wonderful. It doesn’t matter

Question was my state, and I said republican areas would do fine.
I think you need to look in the mirror and see what all these red states that are good at football (LA, MS, AL, GA) have in common regarding needing federal funding.
Just google demographics. And those are the D areas by the way. Take your lily white Massachusetts and drop a good 30% welfare democrats on them and see how much federal assistance they start needing

Yes my state would be toast, due to our democratic constituents. Hence my response republican areas would do fine
