Pretty much if you ever talk about immigration control, you're either racist or xenophobic. Middle ground doesn't exist in this world anymore. People who voted for brexit were accused of the same things.

You assume that people reasonably analyzed his statements. They did not. The rioters we are seeing are overly dramatic children who have been told how to think by a group that uses them to consolidate power.

I see no evidence of Trump being racist or homophobic.
Most of the points made by people pitching a hissy fit over his election are not even based in reality. They spent years calling white Christians monsters just for being white Christians. They belittle blue collar voters, and they resent anyone that works in the oil and gas industry.
It was this exact kind of behavior that made it so easy for Trump to attract blue collar voters from the Democrats.
By all means, keep insisting people with different world views are racist and mean spirited. That helped you lose the election in 2016 and it's going to help you lose your party in 2017.

This. Out of context and depending on how much of a joke they were really frames them differently. I've heard 10x worse from comedians, but he ran for president so it's racist.
