Not so much a unforced error but more of a miss on a longshot.. imho
First off a guy like Trump doesn't do something without a backup plan .. That's why we got Bondi announcement damn near immediately after the news broke Gaetz was out.
Also, Gaetz resigning drops the Ethics case against him. So this simply could have been more slide of hand seeing who's bite on Gaetz while still interviewing other candidates..
But seriously who knows , not one of you cock weasels has anymore insight on what is going on in Trumps head more so than the other..
