Becuase that questions assumes that all candidates that get put forward for a cabinet or judgeship, gets confirmed. Seriously, this happens on both sides, its part of the process.

Gaetz was an awful pick. He's the male version of Boebert. Someone that just likes to see his name in the papers. At least MTG has substance to her comments. I bet a majority of the people on here would think Gaetz is a total douchebag if they really knew him. There are people that really support Trump and his policies, then there are a few that just ride his coat tails to further their political careers. Gaetz, Boebert and Lake are three that come to mind.

It was a win/win for Trump to appoint Gaetz.

If he got thru, huge win.

He was likely NOT to get thru, softens them up to deny his planned appointment.

Also immediately shows who will fight him on day 1. So they out themselves right away while Trump is as meteoric in popularity as he will ever be.

No matter how you slice this, Trump wasn't a fool to appoint Gaetz first.

Even though he said this morning he will not be returning to congress?

Yes, because we want the damn country back, not just a quick high over winning an election.

That's way too mean. He's not an idiot.

No fricking doubt whatsoever.

And I imagine he would think 99% of the people on this board were scum. He's not "one of us" in any way. He's a rich kid from a political family who grew up in the Florida "swamp" and used the money and nepo baby status his dad gave him to get into Congress without ever really working a real job.

The Gaetz worship was always weird to me because he is everything the blue collar MAGA types claim to hate

I'm not sure if the Gaetz nomination was a head fake strategic move of some sort with the understanding his confirmation was unlikely. I don't think we'll know if the Gaetz nomination was a blunder until we see if Gaetz is used in some other capacity that serves to dismantle the Bureaucratic State.

There is some smoke that the Gaetz nominee was to thumb out the true RINOS’ to set the stage on who we need to primary and kick out & how we need to fight in the future knowing who the turncoats are.

All the while, also setting the stage to bring in the FLORIDA AG that is MAGA, a known Trump Corner Woman & has the same ideas and tenacity as Gaetz, but zero baggage that the Deep State can attack.

Now, let’s see them attack a woman like they did Gaetz,

and some of the videos i’ve seen on her, at least at one time, she was easy on the eyes & gets things done!

i like the strategy, and yes it’s not 4D Chess, this is 10D Chess, might be above some people’s IQ levels to comprehend, just saying

MAGA doesn't have that power. That would be an even bigger unforced error and likely would lead to DEM gains if the incumbents were ousted.

Search for "unforced error" on this board before the election. Every f'ing thing that the pearl clutchers were pegging on Trump as an unforced error didn't matter for two shits.

The facts associated with that incident are well known and center around a sleaze bucket pedo named Joel Greenberg trying to set up Gaetz to negotiate a plea deal for himself.

Because it was all planned. Stop watching MSNBC, FOX, CNN and you might actually learn something

Claiming the plan was to nominate an uncomfirmable AG, days from an underage sex scandal isn’t the win you seem to think it is.
