He's not. Pollsters didn't intentionally tilt the numbers in 2016; they simply had no idea who Trump supporters were and how to poll them.

I don't believe any of these numbers. They're wildly inconsistent with either Trump at his highest or lowest poll numbers depending on who you ask. CNN did a poll recently and then buried it when it turned out Trump's numbers were at an all time high. The fact of the matter is this is chaos and no one knows what to think.
But these polls are also currently irrelevant. First off people planning on voting for Trump often deliberately lie to the pollsters. Secondly we don't know how society is going to be 2 weeks from now nevertheless in November. And then there's the elephant in the room. What's going to happen with the DNC? Can Biden stand up there for an hour straight and make a speech? And then the debates. If Biden gets on that stage with Trump, then it's not going to be pretty. If Biden on the other hand refuses to get on that stage with Trump, then it's a white flag of surrender.
I told this board to ignore the polls in 2016, and I was right. This time definitely ignore them. People think that the Biden of 2020 is the Biden of 2012 and simply has Obama's policies. He is not that, and once people start paying attention (especially after this shite show), then I really think Biden is going to get killed by Trump. He is not a viable candidate and I think the Democrats have to replace him if they want any shot at beating Trump.

As of last week, despite trailing in national polling, Trump was leading Biden in 15 battleground states.
National news media only focus on national polling to take attention off of the real story - this is still Trump’s election to lose despite the coronavirus and his purported insufficient handling of same.
