Looking back through historical data, I'm seeing 0 protests in front of the whitehouse demanding we draft more LGBT groups, and send women to the front.

Can anyone help out here?

At Ft. Sam Houston, there used to be a special camp there for all of the guys pretending to be queer,so they would get discharged.

I recall my father (served in the gulf war during DADT) telling me that upon recieving the orders to deploy to Saudi Arabia, he had several soldiers come and tell him and the company First Sergeant the exact same words "I have realized since I joined the army, that I am sexually attracted to men. I have not acted upon these urges." They got punted out and the rest of the unit went off to engage in mobile armored warfare in the desert, including a soldier that the rest of them knew was gay, but didn't say anything because he wasn't a coward.

The camp I was talking about, was there during The Vietnam Draft. I can't remember the name of it.But it was still there, not in use of course, a few years after the draft ended.

There's a difference between voluntarily serving and being drafted to serve.

Genetics is the only fluid thing in this debate apparently.

If you want to call it a right to be able to serve in the military, then you would also have to accept the responsibility,if you are drafted. Can't have it both ways.

The army had a hell of a time finding recruits around 05/06. That's when they opened the floodgates and let in every a-hole with a neck tat and a drug problem.

I remember the good old days when pretending to be gay to get out of the draft or combat was honorable.

If we had a draft, this country wouldn't be at war. Your average war hawk would be out in the streets protesting if their kids were drafted to fight a for-profit war in the Middle East.

Not really once you've enlisted.

If the war was severe enough for a draft, I highly doubt any of us would give a shite. Bigger fish to fry than petty arguments over who can and can't.

In today's world with technology, I doubt we'd allow a situation to call for a draft. We'd wipe them off the earth first.

Is trump going to initiate the draft?

He would be the one to give tips on how to dodge it.

Then why does it always end up that we have equal rights, but extra helping of obligations for the men?
