How did you acquire your current political views?

I was raised as a conservative, but more like a Bush conservative than a hard-right conservative. I was taught that as conservatives we stick to our principles and let the Dems play games and come on top sometimes by taking the high road.

As I reached voting age, I used these lessons to vote for the GOP. It wasn't years later when Obama was running for reelection that I decided to actually look into why I vote conservative and I noticed the Democrats' platform is pure garbage and conservatism just makes sense for people who love the American way of life and just want everyone to shut the hell up and live peacefully.

When Trump came onto the scene in 2016, I dove headfirst into politics and became a much stronger and dedicated conservative. Now, thanks to how the Dems have acted over the past two years, I am as locked into conservatism as one can be.
