perversion? link?

the early followers were scared of being crucified for the same crime. Heresy. Claiming to be god
nope. they were afraid because they were jesus' followers and the leaders wanted to stamp out the movement. it's like you haven't even read acts 4-6

failed to be open to the big truth
which is?

condemned him for something he didn't say
but he did say it. it's there in quotes. repeated by the patristics. not refuted by any literature from antiquity that i am aware of

You think Jesus was a separate thing. Son of God but a guy
yes. have you ever seen the scutum fidei? do you know what the hypostatic union is?

Only Southern Baptists worship the one true God
those people merely worship what scripture says as reflected in the reformation and the orthodox creeds. it's not like they are right because of their denomination or that they have divined some mysterious truth. individuals in other denominations believe the same creedal doctrines as southern baptists even if their praxis differs slightly

Muhammad didn't start Islam. It had been around for a long long time.

Your presumption is that the Christian sources of information are accurate and therefore public and the other sources are inaccurate. While I may agree with the conclusions, none of these witnesses are still alive so I think your point could never be proven.
None of the witnesses for the declaration of Independence are alive.

I remember reading Hitchen's years ago, his conclusion was that Arabs were feeling left out.

They weren't Jews, they weren't Christians and they had no religion.

He contends that the religion was fabricated by Muhammad or his followers and that it was borrowed from other religious texts, and the hadith was taken from common maxims and sayings which developed throughout Arabia and Persia at the time.

As far as Mormonism, I think South Park covered that pretty succintly.

The other proof to me is that all his disciples died horrific deaths for their faith in him. If they heard him speak and believed, and watched him die, but never actually saw him come back like he said, why would they become martyrs for something they knew to be fake? It might make sense for 1 or 2 of them to keep up the story but all of them?

I have seem some Christ Myth theorists contend that the 12 Apostles were also mythological, but that makes the whole Christ Myth Theory even shakier. Once you say the Apostles were also myths, then you also have to assume that the hundreds of students of the Apostles who were dispersed over thousands of miles, and spoke several different languages, organized the early church crafted the new testament, and disseminated consistent teachings without any real means to communicate with one another.
