From a purely ideological standpoint, it defies all logic to deeply believe in your heart that it is not the government's business to dictate your medical decisions, but it is the government's business to dictate your decision on what organizations to join.

If you are a conservative worker looking for a job in a steel plant in Michigan from this point forward, you will not be able to get that job unless you agree to become a member of the AFL-CIO.

The corruption is just off the charts.

Step 1: unions donate 99% to democrats.

step 2: dems get elected, and pay back the unions by enacting laws forcing workers into unions.

Step 3: awash in new membership and funds, unions donate even more to the party for even more goodies.

It's got to be the most blatant, in the open corruption you will ever see in politics.

No one should have to join a union just to get a job. Sadly, that’s all most up there know so they protect it at all cost.

I’m a union member. It’s not to get a job, it’s to get good jobs with companies that value safe more than production. Also, if I get laid off, I have options.

Better yet, how can someone be pro-choice yet oppose the death penalty?

To be fair, this cuts both ways. I'm pro life but don't trust humans or our legal system to end another person's life and will gladly take the down votes from people who seemingly love the death penalty.

you make a valid point, but your logic does not fit the narrative of the other side.

They are pro death of an unborn child but pro life for a criminal.

The saddest thing about Unions is they side with the Government to destroy the middle class working man.

The Democrats hate the baw working in the Michigan steel plant.

Good workers don't have problems finding jobs. Unions protect shitty workers and make it impossible to cut dead weight.

I support organized labor to the depth of my soul. I grew up in a building trades union and have studied the labor movement in depth and you could not find a person who supports the rights of workers to collectively bargain. That being said right to work laws and labors opposition to them says more about ineffective labor leaders than it does about capitalism. Labor should have never gotten into the business of compulsory membership. At one time in the history of the labor movement it was illegal to belong to a labor union. During that period of time labor made its biggest gains in the history of labor in the US. The reason is simple...they offered a better plan for workers. They earned more, they had better conditions and more job security. Labor then shifted to politics instead of labor action. Labor leaders were thus required to be politicians first and labor leaders second. Labor began to rely on the justice system and legislation over collective action. The same thing happened to the working people who relied on those leaders that happens to all working people who rely on the state instead of each other....they lost ground. It was not long before members in every union in the nation heard their leaders bemoaning laws against labor actions....when it wasn't that long ago you would be tossed in jail for having a union ticket. Labor does not need legislation it needs collective action. Labor can't out politic the politicians and can't out finance the bankers....labor has tried for about 70 years and have almost ceased to exist. Relying on compulsory membership to bolster numbers instead of providing a better life for workers is a crutch that is crippling labor in the US. When it was illegal to belong to a union in much of the nation folks lined up to join because labor offered a better path....now that labor relies on legislation you can't find many folks willing to join a union. Labor needs to quit politics and simply do what labor has always done...insist on a living wage and tolerable working conditions.

Dems are full of contradictory bullshite ideological beliefs. How about being “my body my choice” for killing unborn babies, but “your body my choice” for potentially deadly experimental vaccines?

What about a union that represents the workforce at an oil refinery?
How dumb is it to pay dues to a union that fully supports Joe Biden and the wacky Democrats' plan to eliminate the oil & gas industry?
NOTE TO THE DUMBASSES: The Dems are out to cancel your job and your way of life! You good with that?

I don't like Right to Work laws because they interfere with freedom of contract.
If a business and union bargain for a closed shop then so be it - its their right to do so, imo.

The bargaining unit already has a right to vote whether it is union or non-union. Right-to-work gives people a second bite at the apple when the unit is already union and allows them to free-ride on the negotiated wages/fringe benefits and union representation.

Because both decisions (Pro-Choice and Pro-Union) are made by someone who wants to have an abortion on demand and believes Labor Unions help them (for whatever reason).

A better question is how can someone who supposedly states they are for Republican ideals vote for a Democrat?

Don't forget those same individuals that screamed "My Body, MY Choice" wanted to force everyone to get the vaccine...
