more taxes on the rich is his agenda from day one. All his brilliant spending plans are funded by tax increases such as:
Family Plan = Tax Increases
Family Plan = Tax Increases

Because the rhetoric to tax the wealthy invariably only leads to middle class tax increases as always.

I know a VERY rich guy who voted for him. Says avoiding taxes is what he does, figures he could keep it going.

Most of the rich have ppl who are good at taxes.

I’m positive some posters will offer much more insightful takes, but a couple of things that come to my mind are academic brain washing and white guilt

Some of the stuff in there makes sense - ironically, the parts that are least likely to pass, e.g. elimination of 1031 exchanges.

Because the super wealthy can pay lobbyists to carve out loopholes to protect their wealth, however, the vast majority of us can’t and our taxes go up.
It is their fricked version of virtue signaling.

Possibly
I'll wait and see what the final legislation is after compromises and negotiations

Raise income taxes = doesn't affect superwealthy
Raise death tax = doesn't affect superwealthy while living
Raise corporate taxes = doesn't affect superwealthy
Raise taxes that cripple small business = boost equity portfolio of superwealthy
Keep interest rates at 0% and the superwealthy can live off credit forever.

1) They have their banks in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands, so their cash isn’t really touched.
2) They’re not in it for the money but power.

You'd be surprised how many rich people suffer from guilt.

Does this include ALL professional athletes who make millions annually?
It should right?

LIBS are mostly ignorant when it comes to tax laws.....
As long as the DEMS are in power, they don't care about anything else, other than pushing the LEFT agenda and narrative.
Everything Conservative = bad
Everything Liberal = good
In fact, LIBS will vote to pay MORE taxes, if it means to keep Cnservatives out!

When you already have a billion dollars in the bank, (on-shore or off-shore) and your business makes $10 million profit every year, $5 million in taxes is chump change.
eta: they don't feel it, so they don't care.

Had a very wealthy surgeon friend who voted for Biden. She said she would happily pay more taxes to get Trump out. Also said " her taxes wouldn't be going in Trumps pocket anymore"
