Houston Astros visit White House today - PHOTOS

Astros owner Jim Crane and his wife, Whitney, general manager Jeff Luhnow, president of business operations Reid Ryan and most of the team's senior management team will make the trip, along with players and coaches who played with the club last year. The only player from the 2017 team who's currently on the Astros who's known to not be going is Ken Giles, who has a family conflict.

It was a nice welcome by the President.

Highly doubtful.
But they chose to treat the event for what it was—an honor to visit the White House and to represent the city of Houston and the state of Texas—without using the event for personal/selfish political reasons.
Trump did, however, mention that he and Justin Verlander are friends who golf together.
