Hot take: There will be regular Islamic services at Notre Dame when it reopens

Here is how it will play out:

1. After a phony "public debate" it will be announced that the damaged sections of the Cathedral will be replaced with new, unifying symbols. The spire that is eventually erected will not feature a cross, and the rebuilding project will be dedicated to "people of ALL faiths".

2. Notre Dame will be rebranded as just that "Notre Dame". It will feature "Notre Dame Cathedral" within the property, but the verbiage of the site itself will move away from that word.

3. As a part of the grand reopening, there will be interfaith services which will include an Imam and Islamic prayers / blessings. There will be an area within the Notre Dame property that is a permanent Islamic prayer area and that features regular Islamic calls to prayer.

4. Pope Francis the Fraudulent will happily go along with and even bless / ordain this arrangement. He will publicly criticize Catholics who express anger and dismay. He will encourage them to act "as Christians" and to welcome all.

This is going to be agonizing to watch, and I hope I am dead wrong about all of this. But here's wagering that I'm not wrong, and if anything that I'm understating the case.
