Homeless man refuses to move from woman's porch in Los Angeles

This clash between the rights of homeowners and the rights of the homeless is being felt all across the city. As one example, before we moved (i.e. fled in terror) from Los Angeles in 2020, a couple in our neighborhood put their house up for sale, left the keys with the realtor, and moved out of state. Within a matter of days squatters moved into the house and refused to leave. The city refused to evict them. I don't know how it ended up because we moved a couple of months after they did, but I do know that it was a nightmare for our neighbors.

Plus in Los Angeles, there's a good chance the homeless guy has cousins who are gangbangers. Odds are high they'd come around looking for vengeance for their homie

This is what happens when government, and specifically government officials, do not fear their constituency.
I cannot imagine paying taxes to fund a police dept that would not show up to a trespasser at my home and remove them.... it wouldn't have to be that timely... just come get the guy off my porch some time in the next few days?
ETA: It turns out the police have been out there a couple times.
So it's less of a police problem and more of a DA/Correctional problem.
Also another problem people initially blame on police where the root fault lies more with legislators, prosecutors, judges and correctional systems.

Realistically she's just not being creative enough.
She could probably walk down the street and find another homeless man who would get rid of this guy for $50
