Holy shite!!! An honest assessment of the impact of the Senate/Trump Tax Plan from MSN

Yes, it's a fricking slide show. So sue me.
Pretty damned obvious that the middle class absolutely get an income tax cut of around 20% and that the percentage of the tax cut goes down as you get to higher income levels.
The fact that the Dems are being allowed to claim this is a boon to the rich at the expense of the middle class is a crime. It is nothing less than absolute lies.

Not for everyone. It depends on what deductions you take.
Also they sunset. Corporate taxes do not.
Also they add to the national deficit.
Also a higher percentage of the overall cuts goes to corporations and the rich.
MSNBC literally talks about this all day every day. Get off of Fake News Channel for 3 seconds.

They have to because of the Byrd Rule and no Democrat support.
However upon sunset they will be re-upped in congress.

Progressives turning into deficit hawks. It's glorious after their savior's 8 years running it up on the backs of the middle class.

If GDP is 3% or greater the deficit will decrease.

Also they sunset
quote:Since half the country pays no taxes, how exactly could any cut be allocated to that demographic? A millionaire who has his taxes cut 5% will save more gross dollars than a $50k guy with a 20% tax cut. No way around it. I know libs don't like math, but bruh.

Anyone else disgusted by the overal percentage of taxes most people pay?
Posted on 12/6/17 at 8:37 am to GumboPot
The increase is 2 points over 10 years. Find two pennies to cut from every fricking fed gov agency and give more money back to Americans. Progressives are complete trash.

The bill has to be crafted like this to satisfy the Byrd Rule in the senate and pass the bill with a simple majority via reconciliation.
When those sunsets come due there will be TREMENDOUS pressure on congress to not increase taxes and they will vote to block the increases.

No shite Sherlock. But as long as you accompany the tax cuts with spending cuts, then it's a win. Trump's already started cutting many departments. State being a big one.

Come on bud. Take a minute to stop listening to media outlets and analyze the real impacts. Start with accounting for economic growth and work your way back.

No shite sherlock. They pay more by percentage, so they get a larger cut by percentage.
But hey, cool talking points bro. Does Pelosi send those out daily or weekly?

The tax reform package is good for the middle class. Democrats are upset that they'll have pressure to renew them the year after Trump leaves office (2025) and the package destroys their Obamacare mandate.
I imagine they are super-pissed that big-government progressives in states like New Jersey and California may not be able to deduct all of their massive state tax bill anymore. You'd think that people that support more government would be okay with paying more.
