I’ve seen threads about this but I stumbled across this YouTube video of their debate and mother of God this is insane. Are there actually people like this?

She has zero qualifications and experience to be mayor of a city of a half million people.
She says she will institute a city income tax on residents, will defund the police, and will build homeless shelters in every city neighborhood.

I thought only the federal and Stare governments were allowed an income tax?
