They haven't fricked up. fricking up insinuates that there is accountability. There is no accountability for government.

The best thing Trump could have ever done is call for them to release the documents.

Offer to redact the name and they will still refuse.

They don’t want to nail down why they did this and will obfuscate so they can pretend it is anything other than the actual truth.

I agree with Strannix. The optics of withholding this affidavit are awful, and it would be a simple matter to redact identifying info for any CI.

Do his attorneys not have a copy of the affidavit? Or were they just given a copy of the warrant?

The PC affidavit was not unsealed, so he would not yet have possession.

Your boys fricked the duck, Hank.

And you still won't acknowledge that this is a never-ending witch hunt on Trump. Your TDS inhibits obvious facts from entering the brain.

The optics are never awful when you have 90% of the press covering for you.

Only (legit) reason to not publish it is to protect informants. However, the names and descriptions of the informants can easily be redacted, so they really have no excuses.

What we really want to see is WHAT they were after. Merely saying "classified documents" doesn't tell us shite. A lot of stuff is overclassified, and I would say that probably includes some top-secret information. For instance, Crossfire Hurricane was almost certainly top-secret and that is public knowledge now. And we know for a fact Trump has the Crossfire Hurricane documents in his possession.

He does have a bad case. Otherwise, he seems like a decent person on the other boards.

Yes the optics are awful, however there is such an epidemic of stupidity in this country that a contingent of the population actually believes that obfuscating the affidavit MUST mean he’s guilty of SOMETHING.

After all that’s what the tv says right? The “tell me what to think so I don’t have to decide” box has spoken.

They pulled the ole “You want to see how bad this is? We are unsealing the warrant! Ha!” Even sent the lecturing AG up to do it. Thought it gave them the upper hand.

Then Trump agreed instead of blocking like they hoped. No objections.

Warrant unsealed. Nothing burger.

Now next move by Trump is “unseal the Affidavit!”

DOJ…. Uhhhh. We didn’t think this through to the end.

Nothing should be ever be redacted unless there is a vital national defense reason, people should always have the right to face their accusers face to face.

The entire concept of anonymous accusations is an anathema to our constitution.
