By raising the minimum wage to $15 dollars an hour won't that have a devastating effect on the small businesses already partialy shut down and struggling to stay open?

Most of these businesses do not pay 15.00/hr(i.e. bars. restaurants, and other small companies that rely on tips to make up the difference) to meet payroll and keep employees steadily employed. By raising the minimum wage thay are inviting layoffs and business closures.

Doesn't this hurt the same Americans they are proclaiming to besaving ????

This is surly idiocy in my opinion! They have no clue about working America !!!!

I think they probably wouldn't be too upset over the devastating effects it would have on the particular sector of businesses and business owners that it would hurt the most.
