People don't understand that once Iran gets a nuke that the Saudis can just go buy one with their trillions in wealth they've accumulated. The Obama Iran policy is just straight garbage. You have the possibility of 3 nuclear powers on the middle East instead of just one that were allies with.

It's not a direct threat to us and neither is China's military or nuclear program at this point in time but the Saudis can actually afford to maintain the most expensive, high tech weapons on the planet. It would be bad news bears if we allowed both of them to acquire nukes.

The Saudis already own several nuclear weapons. They have chosen to allow Pakistan to retain possession of them. They will go nuclear if Iran does.
Bottom line: You don't want to be the only regional power without a nuke when a war starts.
(Japan can also go nuclear anytime they want - in about 60 days or so. They have chosen not to do so to avoid escalation with Red China. If the United States becomes unable or unwilling to protect them, Japan is nuclear in a very, very short period of time, just as an FYI.)

If Trump is re-elected, hes going to let Japan off the chain and form an alliance with S. Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan and Philippines to address the Chinease threat. He'd likely sell off some older warships and subs to them to get them competitive in a hurry.
