Fire up the grill and throw some cheap pork on it.

Wait till they want Rosa Parks birthday Feb. 4th, as a fed. holiday.

"Although the Emancipation Proclamation declared an end to slavery in the Confederate States, slavery was still legal and practiced in two Union border states – Delaware and Kentucky – until December 6, 1865, when ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution abolished chattel slavery nationwide. Additionally, Indian Territories that had sided with the Confederacy, namely the Choctaw, were the last to release those enslaved, in 1866".

Why not December 6th? I guess Kentucky and Delaware don't have to celebrate Juneteenth.

In celebration of Juneteenth, I will officially free the total number of all the slaves that my ancestors and I owned.

That number is ZERO.

My ancestors were very poor immigrants from Norway that came to the US in the late 1800s after the US Civil War.

I guess Independence Day is canceled now and replaced by Juneteenth.

Why are they attempting to rename fathers day?

There's an easy joke here, but I'll let it pass.

I know what my older relatives told me and I to will let it pass
