We discussed this a few weeks back. I was trying to buy a couple hundred rounds of .40 cal S&W to just go to the range. I looked all over the internet and all I could find were the expensive hollow point rounds.

After searching for a couple of weeks, I found a place selling them. I tried to buy 1,000 rounds but all they had was 700, so I bought them all. I checked back a week later and they were still out.

A couple of weeks ago I took a plane flight. Going through TSA security there was a cute 20 year old girl in front of me and a cute 20 year old girl behind me. As our bags were going through the scanner machine, they suddenly stopped the conveyor belt and shut down the entrance and exit to the entire security area and called in reinforcements. They made the three of us sit there for over 10 minutes. We were all looking at each other suspiciously. I knew my bag was clean, but I just figured one of these sorority girls had a fancy new hair dryer or something and the security guy was being extra cautious to make sure it wasn't a bomb. I was about to ask the girls jokingly "did one of you try to bring your gun on the plane?" but I thought that would be a stupid thing to say, even jokingly, in a TSA hold.

Turns out one of the cute little girls DID have a loaded handgun in her purse. Said she had it for protection from the protests (we were still having minor riots) and that she forgot it was in there. Sooooo naive. She asked the police if they could just hold it for her until she got back. I was like, girl you are going to jail. They took her away in hadcuffs crying.

Idiot.

.45 ACP is getting harder and harder to come by. I bought 40 hollow point rounds and 30 rounds of 7.62x39 yesterday...70 fricking bucks. It’s getting out of hand.

This. I’ve tried to buy on several occasions but couldn’t find a decent gun in stock nor any ammunition. At the time, I figured, why buy the gun if I couldn’t buy the ammo? Guess I should have at least tried to get one when I could.

When SGA is out of ammo... that tells me sales is out the roof.

About 15 years ago a guy I worked with had been on a hunting trip out west. Coming home through Atlanta the TSA discovered a hunting knife he had forgot about in his shaving kit. The guy had never been in trouble with the law his whole life but he spent two or three nights in jail before his daughter who was a lawyer in Atlanta could get him out. We started calling him a terrorist .

I could be wrong but I don’t think those buying guns are voting for Biden in large numbers.
