Government set to borrow nearly 1 TRILLION, an 84% increase from last year
I really see no need to add anything to this.

quote:

It was another crazy news week, so it's understandable if you missed a small but important announcement from the Treasury Department: The federal government is on track to borrow nearly $1 trillion this fiscal year — President Donald Trump's first full year in charge of the budget.

That's almost double what the government borrowed in fiscal year 2017.

Here are the exact figures: The U.S. Treasury expects to borrow $955 billion this fiscal year, according to a documents released Wednesday. It's the highest amount of borrowing in six years, and a big jump from the $519 billion the federal government borrowed last year.

Treasury mainly attributed the increase to the "fiscal outlook." The Congressional Budget Office was more blunt. In a report this week, the CBO said tax receipts are going to be lower because of the new tax law.

Time for you to switch upside down barstools. You’ve sunken low enough on the one your currently sitting on. It’s hitting your brain......

If we can pay it back, what's the issue?

We brought in a record amount of tax receipts this year.

Sounds like you’ve thought a lot about phallic objects in mens’ a-holes. Something you want to share with the class?

Is this because of Obama’s policies and debt he built during his 8 years?

I'd rather go into more debt taking less taxes from the working class rather than adding more welfare for the do-nothings.

I don’t understand threads like this.

You bitch when Trump does shite you hate, and you bitch when he does shite you like.

Liberals like government spending more than abortion and trannies combined.

You should be celebrating.

You stupid fricks do not understand that borrowing is not equal to deficit.

Seriously are you really stupid enough to think the deficit is going to be double last year?

So , you're confident these huge corporate tax cuts are more than going to makeup for the huge decline in tax receipts and costs of doing this? This is going to be huge win for the country at large?

How long until the inevitable recession? 2019? 2020?

The dems don't care and I doubt trump gives a crap either and the truth is as long as the dollar is the reserve currency of the world, it will be ok. When that stops hopefully after I am dead, then the good ole USA will be no more... The green back is what keeps this country together, even our poor live better than than the other 94% people in the world, quite easily, I might add... I hate but the only way we lower our debt is to up our GDP, because we are not cutting spending, because most of our debt is SS and Medicare and of course Defense spending. SPending on welfare and other crap is a drop in the bucket...

Exactly.....is it a sign of a failing company when it increases borrowing?

If we pay it back without going into a bigger deficit, it is literally a non-story.
