My family has been attending Disney World for a long time. I still remember when Epcot opened up and half of the attractions weren't completed. Some will call us nuts but we've never had a bad time there in spite of the political and social changes happening which leads to my comment.

Disney is saying all the politically correct thing to appease all of the activist groups but make no doubt, they only want to associate with the "token" people in these special interest groups and not the average citizen.

If you've been to Disney World you know how much it cost. A family of 4 to visit one park for one day will spend about 450 just to walk in the gate. If you stay on property for 3-4 days and get a nice resort (we stay in the Boardwalk area) they break it off in you.

My point being is Disney Parks are among the "Whitest" theme parks you can attend in America because they've priced themselves in such a way that they keep certain "elements" out by price. With that said, white people are shelling out huge bucks to attend Disney to have a fun experience in a clean park with good security.

Disney doesn't mind sucking these people dry with with Disney Plus, the movies, the merchandise but they don't want to be around them.

As I said I love the hypocrisy.

I know this isn't a news event of the day, but what the hell.

Leftists hate walls except for those gating the homes of the politicians they worship.

I have never been to any Disney attraction so I'll take your word for it.

I think if you’re looking for the biggest sign of their hypocrisy look no further than their love for China. At the end of the day they’re a business that exists to make money. Why they feel the need to get involved in social issues in just the US I will never understand.

I’m sure their Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer will fall on the sword and acknowledge the “unequal access” and proclaim that they “recognize the inherent systemic racism” therein. Advantageous pricing for certain “historically excluded” groups will be offered while the “traditional” customer base will pay the same high daily rates. All while denouncing “racism”.

They'll never do that, because tickets are transferrable. This would immediately create a black market for cheaper tickets.

Personally, I think Disney should grant unfettered access.....and after-hours access to all black families in America.

Going to Disney World is a chore, not a vacation.

Give me a cabin in the mountains by a creek any day of the week over that shitshow.

The gifts of nature dwarf the man made bull shite done in the name of corporate greed. There are many many lessons to be learned in the wilds. Some concern the wilds but many concern ourselves.

"Disney" is a massive global conglomerate that does a lot of things. It is much more than Disney World.

Also, wokeness means a lot of things. There are a lot, A LOT, of LGBTQ people that have money and love Disney World. There are a lot of minorities who go to the movies. ESPN has a lot of black fans, especially the NBA which is probably ESPN's biggest product.

But Disney World has absolutely priced themselves to a level that a lot of people can't afford.

Not taking my family to PedoLand. That entire company doesn't have one straight employee. Disney is founded on pedophilia.

Disney wised up to that trick. Now if you're in a wheelchair, the workers bring the person in the wheelchair around near the loading area but they have to wait there to board until the rest of their party makes it through the normal line.

It depends. We are (were) passholders, and our daughter had a broken leg, and even when she was in a boot later, we kept the wheelchair because of the amount of walking. While it's true you don't necessarily get VIP treatment, we kinda did. Granny was with us in a wheelchair, too, so we did get spoiled on a bunch of rides like Flight of Passage, etc. They put us in Fast Pass line instead of standby, or took us in the exit, etc. I think it varies by employee and date. They definitely cracked down on the rent-a-cripple thing that was going around a few years ago. We brought note from doctor, but no one ever asked for it.

Disney is massively expensive to keep up...

I don't have an issue with pricing...

70% of the population is white...

why wouldn't the theme park be mostly whites walking around?

that said, I've seen plenty of black people enjoying disney

I mean give me a break.

Poor people are poor and have few options in life because they have no money

the Hypocrisy I see is making teenaged white girls wear a free T shirt handed out because they don't like the tank tops..."doesn't meet our dress code"

but then Disney has a week of LBGTQIA where all kinds of perversion is going on...

Effectively Disney is doing what Coke did to its customers. Try being less straight & White.

And yet “some people “continue to pay thousands and thousands of dollars annually for the theme park experience.

How can you blame Disney? There is literally no incentive for them to stop doing what they are doing.

Take your family to Europe, just once, and you’ll never want to go to Disneyland again.
