One could argue that the Jan 6th committee has served its purpose seeing the 2022 midterm election results. The Dems may in fact secretly be happy they don't have to continue with it anymore. They have to be sensing the public fatigue on the topic.
It's time to move on to the drama that will come with a slim Republican majority and McCarthy having to bow down to every wish of the Freedom caucus.
