Hey, you politards, instead constantly bashing JBE for not being able to wave a magic wand and change provisions in our state constitution concerning what can be cut from the budget and what cannot; as well bash him for trying to overcome eight years of mismanagement, voodoo economics, and corporate welfare by Bobby Jindal and his cronies; why don't you urge the Republican "leadership" in the Legislature to offer something constructive instead of more political grandstanding?

Joseph Dardenne please step away from the computer. You clowns voted for all of Piyush's budgets, please own up to it.

I'm a Conservative Republican.
With that said, the leadership in the Republican party in Louisiana is off the rails. The "proposal" they offered JBE is not even that. They don't have a plan and they just sit in the corner rooting for JBE to fail while the people suffer. It's sickening.
I'm glad there are those out there willing to work and compromise, too bad their climb is steep.

Three words:
Line Item Veto
The governor has every legislator and municipal government by the balls. When he says jump, they ask “how high?”

Yeah
You assholes need to go back to the Dems who created the impression of corruption over the course of 120 or so years

How did we get here
There is no incentive to do anything, they do nothing and keep getting reelected.

When does it stop?
When people stop sending idiots (both parties) to BR.
Louisiana voter: "legislature is full of snakes, need to get rid of all of em...except my guy, he is ok."

like who? and what exactly would they do differently? telling people what they want to hear- either "that other guy will pay higher taxes!" or "we'll cut spending on stuff that other guy likes"- has been working pretty well for them and the voters buying it are the stupid ones
