so we ban social media, right?

that's about the only thing Russia actually used

but certainly leftists would love a society with a singular mindset like China or North Korea, no division there

Will Hurd campaigned against President Trump so it's safe to say he's a nevertrumper and probably Republican in name only.

The thing is, all of these platforms generate revenue by accumulating clicks, which they can then pitch to advertisers as evidence that their platform can spread a message. They don’t want to seperate the bots or the shills from the actual users because that would make their reach look smaller and would thus limit their earnings potential.

What we need to do is alter that economic incentive.

I have a simple question for the board:

Trump's staff has acknowledged that Russia tried to mess with our elections. So it is not MSM fake news.

Does the board agree that this happened?

And if you do agree that it happened, do you think America should respond for this attempt to attack our democracy?

I agree. Russia is an adversary. Why are Dems giving Russia their goal as stated in the IC report?

what do we do? plant fake news on their social media?

again, why are we even concerned? this is a foreign policy issue for the 1980s, not the 2010s

The Russian infiltration of the PT is nothing short of scary. How many bots a day are we seeing right now in just this one thread.

Yes. The IC stated their goal was clear. To sew seeds of doubt in the electoral process. Muh Russia has done more to hand the Russians their goal than they could have dreamed. Way to go Dems.

Well listen to the house and senate when they voted like 500-7 to input sanctions on them would be a start. Publicly declaring attacking our democracy is legitimate attack of our country and will not be tolerated would be great too.

'What should we do?' is the most defeatist response.

Come on people.

I disagree. Accusing your President of being one of the enemy is the most defeatist response possible. Just hand the Russians what they want. Brilliant.

Didn't the left laugh at Romney and Ryan when they identified Russia as a real threat?

what about the sarcasm?

you do agree, then, that Obama claiming Russia was policy fro the 1980s was a horrible policy blunder?

Republicans have acknowledged that Russia was our enemy since at least 2012. it was Obama and the DEMs who denied it

I don't disagree with you that people questioning Trump's victory bc of Russia is giving them what they want.

Trump won fair in square. I don't consider Trump our enemy, I just don't approve of how he's handled it.

If their cyber attack was the goal of to break the US further apart, is it not still an attack that should be responded to? Instead of being bullied by Russia with no response?

I say, "So what?" along with the others. The USA has been trying to topple the Russian Government since 1918. Only a naive person would expect no retaliation for that.
