No - it was a left wing media article that claimed Google said that when in reality, the announcement said “we haven’t done this yet , we are starting small in the Bay Area and hope to broaden it soon”

Well Google has recently been acquired by Alphabet (which is Apple's parent company). The CEO of Apple is a man named Sundar Pichai (and he is now the CEO of Google too), and he told Trump about the site. Many high level people in the company were unaware and told the press it wasn't true. And of course some in the press jumped the story instead of going to top and asking.

correct I just edited that to clarify that. Pinchar is currently the Ceo of Alphabet, which makes him the CEO of Apple and Google and my source is google.
