Right, none of those things would be occurring.

No more than having a squatter on your private land removed for trespass.
Do you know how you get squatters removed from your property?
Through the court system.
You guys are proving my point.

5th Amendment only applies to the government

That maybe your opinion but it is totally incorrect from a legal standpoint.
You will admit they have far fewer rights than citizens.
In Jennings v. Rodriguez (this year) SCOTUS was questioning if aliens had a right to bail.

Agree because they are fricking illegal!!!

bullshite.
Let me guess your spin.
You're walking down the street and a racist cop "profiles" you to harass for no reason?
Next time you get stopped for a non criminal traffic offense refuse to ID yourself and get back to me.

Lol. According to your argument, that would mean the act of removing the trespassers before legal proceedings would be a violation of the trespassers 5th Amendment rights.

You have an awful lot of faith in our federal govt to deport only illegals.
Do you know of any instance where a citizen has been deported for not being a citizen?

I agree but that seems like something he shouldn’t have said.
He most certainly should say this. It's stiff like this that will make me vote for him in 2020. He isn't a pussy and will not taking crap from the real power behind all of this...the globalists.

Not in every state
In which states can you refuse to provide ID when asked?
Never mind, I duckduckgoed it. It's still vague if it only applied to citizens.

In Florida you can.

All of them.
There is no law that requires you to show id for no reason.
If you get pulled over by a cop for speeding and don't want to show your id then you might be arrested and then the court system takes over.
Lotta fantasies in this thread.

No wonder “Florida man” is so popular!

Due Process applies to more than just criminal proceedings and clearly this is a criminal action as they are being punished for illegal presence.
But last week the Dem Mantra was "this is a civil matter not a criminal one".
I'll only give ya a 4.4 on the double back flip without the 1.5 twist as you failed to stick the landing.

Sergio Carrillo had already been handcuffed in the Home Depot parking lot when an officer wearing a Homeland Security uniform appeared.
“Homeland Security?” Carrillo asked. “What do you want with me?”

Ignoring Carrillo’s demands for an explanation, the officer ordered the 39-year-old taken to a federal detention facility in downtown Los Angeles for people believed to be in the country illegally.
“You’re making a big mistake,” Carrillo recalled saying from the back seat to the officers driving him. “I am a U.S. citizen.”
He is probably not alone.
Eta: lets count the downvotes and see how many small govt consersatives are ok with deporting citizens

doesn't justify zero enforcement
If he doesn't like it he should support better enforcement at the border so that the country isn't crawling with illegals.

The refusal by ICE officials to listen to Carrillo’s claims of citizenship appeared to violate an agency policy that requires officers to thoroughly and quickly investigate such claims. If there is any doubt whether someone is a citizen, the policy instructs officers not to arrest the person until the confusion is resolved.
