Toyota, Tesla, and Honda are staying quiet.

GOP leader sticks with Michigan voting plans despite opposition of GM, Ford

The leaders of many of Michigan's largest companies are opposing more restrictive voting laws, posing a possible obstacle to the plans of the state's Republican lawmakers.

Leaders of more than three dozen major Michigan-based companies — including the Detroit Three automakers, mortgage lending giant Rocket Cos. and all four of Detroit's professional sports teams — released a joint statement on Tuesday saying they are united on principles such as the right to vote, equitable access to the ballot, and the avoidance of any government actions that reduce participation in elections.

But the state Senate's Republican leader indicated Tuesday that he and fellow GOP lawmakers would press forward with the proposed changes in a bid to guarantee every vote is "handled and counted the same."

The Republican-controlled state Senate is soon expected to start hearings on wide-ranging legislation that would require photo identification to vote in person, ban the unsolicited statewide mass mailing of absentee ballot applications and restrict the hours in which people could drop their ballot in curbside boxes.

Voters applying for an absentee ballot — an increasingly popular choice under a 2018 constitutional amendment and during the coronavirus pandemic — would have to attach a copy of their ID.

Because they are smart....and will let the governmental process work. The woke companies will pay handsomely in the long run!

Try buying almost anything related to a vehicle without an ID.

Although Saint Dauntae did have some air fresheners. Those are about the only thing vehicle related one can purchase without ID, unless buying on crediks which said crediks require ID.

100% of new Buicks are designed in China. Some of their models are even manufactured there.

Ford is very public about their top priority being to catch up with VW and GM in China. Their puppet masters are the largest emerging car market the world has ever seen. They DGAF about American jobs anyways.

Buy a Toyota. Or even a Tesla.

Damn. Guess I'll hold off buying a new truck now, too.

I wonder when they're going to come out against state laws requiring a drivers license to buy and operate a motor vehicle.

Sometimes it's hard to remember, but there really was a time when you did not think to wonder what a car manufacturer thought about government policy that had nothing to do with their own industry. The idea that we are getting policy memos from corporations about how WE need to vote on issues "or else" ought to be the most illustrative thing going on at this point.

That's why I just bought two Toyota Tundra's for my company vehicles.

This is all about globalist control of consumer markets. They no longer care about and actually despise the concept of a "nation". They want easily controlled markets and a truly secure and honest electoral process is too much risk for them.

What you're seeing is an attempt at this "great reset" that gets called tin foil fodder on both sides of the aisle. They want to push out the independence and faith -based remnants of western civilization for good and replace it with consumerism and dependency...ironically driven by a power-hungry socialist empire that will eventually eat all of these big corporations for lunch.

The last thing any corporation wants to do is take sides in political debates that have nothing to do with the business. Yet we are seeing this everywhere. Imagine the pressure and cancel threats being applied to these corporations by unions, local political thugs, the media, and the professional SJWs at BLM and Antifa.

It must be unimaginable. Now think about why this pressure is being applied so vigorously over an issue like voter ID. Is it really because they want to protect the 1ish percent of the voting population too stupid to get an ID?

Try driving a vehicle without an ID or a license plate and see how that works out.

I'm looking at new trucks now. This just made it easier to compare as the list got shortened.

Ironically enough, you have to have an ID to vote in all of Mexico.

How is Michigan going to get this passed with a democrat governor. Hard to believe they have the votes to override her .

It is funny and sad at the same time when you think about it that way. Some reporter would make quite the name for himself asking a Ford spokesperson if he supports driving without a license, but it'll never happen.

If you really think about it, ALL people need cars.
White, Black, brown, Asian, Latino, male, female, gay....

Why would a company that serves ALL races make a statement about voter regulations?

I am an educated man, but I am at a loss here.
I DO NOT understand how the LEFT thinks!
