Give me Hydroxychloroquine no matter what doctors say!

I happen to know the hospitalist at one of our local hospitals and he’s democrat and is dead set against Hydroxychloroquine
I also know a top doctor at the other large local hospital and he’s the same against Hydroxychloroquine! Neither would prescribe it and we’ve had coronavirus patients die
We’re going somewhere else if myself or loved ones get coronavirus

Well DeSantis just ordered one million doses so I believe you local hospitalist may not have much say.

I dont believe you. The large hospitals in New Orleans have been using it for weeks.

I love this when they talk about the drug "A person taking hydroxychloroquine has been known to suffer delusions".
THEY FORGET TO MENTION, the reason the person is suffering delusions is because they have malaria NOT because they are taking the drug.
Its akin to saying that a person taking a blood thinner has been known to have heart attacks.

I personally know a very prominent emergency medicine doctor who is also a big liberal and he too appears to be in opposition to the he’s of it.
There definitely appears to be a pattern aligning with politics.
My wife runs a hospitalist group who are treating Covid 19 patients and they are prescribing it with good results.
If I was a patient having moderate symptoms, I would demand it.

Anecdotal. Just because hospitals near you are wisely using it does not mean others elsewhere are as well. I think we have come to learn by now that political bias can be stronger than peoples' desires to do the right thing. These Dems running hospitals would rather watch people die than try to save their lives with a drug that OMB has said could be an answer.

And nobody said that they were letting people die on purpose. Could be they just have a severe case of TDS and they are so deranged that they actually believe that HCQ is a bad idea.

Given what is known now there is a non-zero chance that HCQ could be helpful.
