The debate about race following the killing of George Floyd has reverberated across the Atlantic Ocean, spurring the tourism minister of Ghana to appeal to its diaspora, including in the U.S., to "leave where you are not wanted," and return home.
quote:
"We continue to open our arms and invite all our brothers and sisters home. Ghana is your home. Africa is your home. We have our arms wide open ready to welcome you home.
"Please take advantage, come home, build a life in Ghana. You do not have to stay where you are not wanted forever, you have a choice and Africa is waiting for you," Oteng Gyasi added after a wreath-laying ceremony last Friday.
Ghana is in the region at the hub of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, and in 2019, it marked the 400th anniversary of the first documented arrival of slaves from West Africa in America with an initiative called Year of Return

The dream is for a group of African countries to clean house and form a decentralized federation, then I might give it consideration.

Ghana surprisingly is one of the most pro-West African countries around and overall has great people.
I’m sure the US black folks are really considering moving to.....Ghana

By all means they should go. I've no doubt there's job opening for trash collectors in Accra.

I bet they get very little to take them up on this.

T-bird is not eligible. Biden will make the decision on who is African.

Would they take Shawn King?

This would have been a excellent landing spot for Prince Harry and Meghan but apparently they're only inviting blacks. It would have been a great opportunity for Harry to cleanse his white privilege by washing the feet of Ghanaians.

Do American taxpayers send Financial aid to Ghana?

Most Africans don't want the drama some of the Black Americans would bring and Black Americans don't want to go there because they know the U.S. still gives out handouts which Ghana would not.
But maybe as someone else suggested in another thread there should be a Go fund me page started to help those who want to take up the good minister on his offer.

I do know this... if the Progressive Libs take over this country as it appears they will, my white-butt may very seriously consider moving to an African nation based on my Conservative values. Countries like Botswana and Mauritius are relatively safe (as safe as any Progressive-run US city anyways), Christianity is still valued, and the people (the ones I know at least) seem like damn decent people.
So... not sure about Ghana... but I just might be an American-African some day!

Ever wondered why we've sent tens of billions every generation to get running water to places in sub Saharan Africa, yet they still don't have clean running water in all those places?
Our federal government is the most corrupt institution in the world.

I won't get into that, but the money that actually does make it over there stops once it hits the African politicians hands.
