I know a lot of folks here, myself included, have unplugged themselves more and more from the toxicity and divisive garbage being spewed at us by social media, Hollywood and almost every local or national "news" outlet out there. What have you all done to bring more positivity into your life? I've found myself getting back into playing music, something I used to do a lot of when I was younger. I've starting building models. I've started finding new recipes to cook. I'm always looking for other ideas.

Bud, you posted this on the Political Talk board on Tigerdroppings. If you google toxicity and divisive garbage it should literally give you this url. Is that how you ended up here?

Looks like someone needs to change his tampon. This board is one of the finest places left on the internet.

This place pales in comparison to sites like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, etc. as far as toxicity goes. I can't recall seeing people recently getting canceled on tigersdroppings.

considering becoming religious but idk dude. the problem with religion is that it wastes the time of men. praying does very little for you my guy.

and at the same religion blocks important thought, science and technology. so I'm looking for another way

dont get me wrong, i would love to live for some time in the Mount Athos. but i could not make it long term without internet and without gaming. I mean i could make it, but it would be a waste of time.

for me. technology makes things so much better. i would need to be productive and selfactualize so I'm looking for hobbies like that to find my roots. although I'm prob much younger than you op.

maybe I could thrive in isolation/away from society but you need an internet connection and you need to develop/challenge yourself everyday, or else you will stagnate, waste time and go backwards. so I'm stuck for now. godspeed

So that explains the lack of odd pics in every thread that seemed completely out of place?

nope. I'm an unplugged

im trying to build a culture of men that constantly wanna develop themselves. very hard to do I'm finding.. many zoomers just wanna game and collect trump bux.

so I'm thinking it is over for USA dude. maybe that is what I've learned to be as just pure biology for civilizations to rise and fall and be cyclical.

I fear we cant escape from the soys. we cant escape from the fact that weak men bring hard times, hard times create strong men, and so the saying goes...I think? idk

the sons of strong men often become weak. Strong men often become weak after having sons and especially daughters.

how can there be a shift in our masculinity culture dude? there is no way for a culture to prosper this way. It is set to fall apart.

I try to imagine a society made of men fully focused on improving themselves but very few care to do so. they just look at thots on the internet. idk where I can move to find strong men. I was thinking Chile but I've heard it's over for them too

Look into the "religion" of consciousness. All of those things are embraced.

I meditate a ton and focus on the serenity prayer whenever I face a situation that starts to raise my blood pressure.

I can’t really change people’s minds about politics - I am probably about 2 for 500. I’ve decided to accept this fact and to stop trying, because that minuscule success ratio pales in comparison to the relationships I’ve seen harmed and the potential friends and contacts I’ve seen snuffed out. And my vote doesn’t even matter in the ballot box out here so it’s all irrelevant in the end anyhow.

Reading the Bible, praying more, fishing more. I’ve also started eating better and exercising more. Trying to get prepared just in case it gets worse.

but the left doesn't see it this way....they double down, they are the ones who have destroyed Facebook, twitter and other platforms with their filth agenda...they lurk ready to pounce

common sense, calm people, do not wish to get in online fights with people they know...it's why I said goodbye to facebook, I had to get out of there...it doesn't help I have a business to think about

what I learned is, these relationships weren't really my friends but I was worried about my reputation and how much time I was allowing it to steal

I am the type that likes a nice back and forth, I find it stimulating...but then you realize, these people are for big government and have not clue what they are asking for....so it's a waste of time...for them, free healthcare free college, they are willing to do whatever to get it, that's the difference.

they are willing to fight and we aren't
