Germany now paying "refugees" to go home

Germany has a new way to deal with more than a million refugees who poured into the country over the last several years — give them money to go home. The country wants to give rejected asylum-seekers who voluntarily move back to their home countries a one-time payment of euros, which is $3,570.

Germany went all in accepting refugees from the Middle East and other war-torn regions of the world. The nation took in nearly 900,000 in 2015 alone, The Washington Post reported. In just two years, some 1.2 million poured in. But a recent report showed very few of the newcomers bothered to get a job — or were hired by German businesses. Just 34,000 refugees — or 2.8% — of those who streamed into Germany in the last two years have managed to get a job, the U.K.'s Express reported.

Meanwhile, the Gatestone Institute reported that "authorities in Hamburg, the second-largest city in Germany, have begun confiscating private dwellings to ease a housing shortage — one that has been acutely exacerbated by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to allow more than two million migrants into the country in recent years."

That is just fricking horrendous. Assimilation is one of the main components of "immigration". This is something else

Germany never intended to keep the refugees in Germany. Under the EU. Anyone who becomes a citizen in one country can easily migrate to another and their is nothing the other EU member can do about it

This solution is not final enough.

Wait, they're giving money to people that weren't even accepted into the refugee program?

The US can learn a few things for Germany and this is one of them.

Now, let's see if they'll do a lackluster job of securing their border, let the same people skip back in, and pay them to go home again.
Effectively, that's what they want us to do.

The invaders should take Germany up on this deal. They won't like the alternative method Germany has used in the past.

How would you feel about having your tax dollars spent like this? And what's to stop them from abusing it and returning and collecting it again as someone already pointed out?
frick that noise. Create a safe zone or do nothing from now on. Allowing waves of ME refugees is a proven disaster.
