Deserve what? Big Oil with its insatiable greed?

Exxon/Mobil, BP, Citgo, Chevron et al are diving into the California market with its self-imposed oil scarcity and making obscene profits.

From today's LA Times the blame was placed on many of the refineries that make the very special blends for California all being shut down for maintenance.

The picture of the prices there did make me smile

Couldn't happen to a better bunch of fools too. Hope it doubles to $12 per gallon.

If you dont like it put your own capital at risk and undercut their prices with your own production, refining, transportation, and retail.

If not then STFU.

their governor has declared the state a safe place for children to get body altering drugs and be mutilated without parental consent

gas prices are the least of their problems...

These companies operate all over the country and the price is only at those obscene levels in California. Your logic doesn't check out at all.

It's $2.77 in BR right now or at least was yesterday. Not everyone has $6.50 gas. That's a CA problem they caused themselves.

Just got back from Seattle on business and it was in the range of $4-5 everywhere I saw. I was very glad the company was paying for that. Can’t imagine what they were paying several months ago.

Blatant mismanagement.
Who in the heck is running that place, and why do the voters keep them in office?

The pesky little fact that he barely survived a recall election certainly wouldn't get in the way of the Dems' love fest over Gavin.

Please compare their profit margins to other companies such as Apple, Pfizer, Google, and Goldman Sachs. Then, it can be discussed what is obscene.

So many people bitch about fuel cost then turn a blind eye to other companies that have such higher margins.

But hey.... No more means tweets at 2 in the morning and we must go green now before the world explodes.

Cali you keep voting for these politicians and their radical agenda's so you get what you vote for.
