Has Governor Abrams commented on this, yet? I couldn't imagine her standing for this type of corruption.

I think the point is - the double votes were counted and not caught until well after. What if it had been 500k

No, I don't think 1000 people would forget they already fricking voted. Is this serious?

This will get prosecuted in Republican States and ignored in Democratic States.

Good thing we're the former.

We are rhe former unless there is enough Democrats vote twice to change things.

I would love for the State to put on a show and arrest all 1,000 people today.

If you have requested an absentee ballot, why are you still active on the roll and allowed to vote in person at all? Seems like for this to EVER work, they need to be able to cross-check at the polls.

My guess is if you don't mail in your ballot until the day or two before the election they cannot cross you off for already voting.

So your ballot arrives on election day or the day after.

It's an accident when someone takes time to request a ballot, fill out the ballot, then mail the ballot and then a couple weeks later drive to a polling station and vote again?

I'm just saying 1000 in the whole state is not many. There are 2700 precincts in Georgia. Also, I'm not saying its ok either.
I have a neighbor that if someone came by her house and got her to fill out an absentee ballot in September and then somebody else came by and picked her up to go vote in November. She may not remember that she already voted.

I’m thinking about going for the trifecta. In person, absentee & mail in. I’m a trendsetter.

You should be banned from in-person voting as soon as your ballot is mailed out. The only way there should be an exception is if you have made arrangements beforehand.

If you forget that you already voted, then you are probably not competent enough to vote at all.

Yes, serious. Come on guys. Think of some of the questions you hear in polling places.
I am not going to do it by mistake, you are not going to do it by mistake, but there are plenty of people that are not that bright. More than 1000.

Exactly why no one should be able to go and bring a ballot to someone and get them to “vote.”

They will say this is an insignificant amount, but voter fraud is really an issue more at the local level where elections are often decided by double digit votes.

If this is truly the case, then there has to be a way to control for it. Flagging the name as soon as the ballot is mailed and making it impossible to vote in person.

If people are fraudulently "absentee" voting for people, it's going to come to light really fricking quickly.

If my Visa company can text me immediately upon receiving my payment, then surely the state can figure out a way to text someone as soon as their ballot request has been received and again once mailed.

This is a 1000 from a primary. There will be more people voting in the general election so that number will go up. It was also likely a test by people for the general. They won’t have al their people try it at the start.

I’ll be your one up vote. This is the reasonable response to this information. A bunch of people here just can’t do math or understand that with proper checks such as ID laws like GA has that mail in voter fraud is little risk to national elections.

If they have the proof, sounds like time to round up 1000 people.

What if they didn't know that someone had already cast votes using their names?
