1. If I have to show an ID to buy a beer and I am 57... I think that everyone else can show an ID to vote. In fact... My voter registration card is used as legal ID on many documents.

Same mindset that existed in the 60s in the South.
Democrats had “white primaries” that allowed them to choose their candidates for the general election. The GOP had no such rules but was a dead party in the South. Result was that the white people chose the winner and blacks could either vote for the winner or not vote at all.
