French authorities impounded two lorries carrying some 130,000 masks to health workers in Britain’s embattled hospitals, following President Emmanuel Macron’s pledge to “requisition” all stocks in his territory.

The move followed hot on the heels of French border guards seizing another heavy goods vehicle carrying hand sanitiser to Britain the day before. The incidents triggered a diplomatic spat between the two countries as Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) struggles against the Chinese coronavirus pandemic.

“On Tuesday night, French authorities stopped the hand sanitiser and confiscated the lot,” a British government source confirmed to The Sun.

“On Wednesday night, it was lorries full of FFP3 face masks to protect staff.”

I was kinda wondering when shite would pop off between the UK and France. Those two have had a love-hate relationship for a thousand years. This begins a new chapter.

Wars have started over less. This will get real interesting if this virus continues out of control for a sustained period. It very well could lead to a World War if food and supplies become limited.

Hopefully this’ll show the skeptics why manifest destiny was important.

Lesson:

Start mandating that at least a certain % of medical PPE are manufactured within your own borders. When Pandemics happen, you have a means to manufacturer your own.

Are they white masks? They probably just needed something to wave at the approaching virus.
