I am trying to remember if any of my college professors knew my name. Business school at a big SEC school...
I don't remember any of them knowing me by name, and I certainly would not have gotten OFFENDED-reeee if they had called me another name.
As long as it doesn't frick up my quality of life, it is pretty entertaining how oh-so-serious these frickers take everything. It'll be hilarious when shtf.

It sounds like you are a lot like the girls in this story. They weren’t offended either. It was the Professor’s over-the-top explanation that set off the alarms. It showed that he was secretly race-focused and felt such guilt that he practically immolated himself.

I love that this guy who says his whole career has been about social justice was fired for offending two black students who were late for his class. This is cosmic justice.

You know, I can remember a time when, at LSU, if this had happened, the professor’s response would’ve been: “Pardon me. I have 80 friggin’ students in that one class. I WILL BE apt to get someone’s name wrong from time to time. Deal with it.”
And you know what? The university would’ve backed him to the limit.

I think I comprehended it. I also comprehended the part where they said that they weren’t very offended until the professor tried to explain it. In that (nine page, I believe) explanation the professor went off the deep end. If you had command of the facts you might have saved yourself this embarrassing explanation.
I have a hard time believing you’ve soldiered through any of Fenimore Cooper’s books.

If I was on those Oakland teams he was on, he could have called me “cracka”. Dude was fast as a cheetah on the bases and in the field.

He was also a great RB in HS football and got a scholarship to USC. He turned it down because he thought baseball careers are longer. He was right.
