Extremely weird for a credit card company like AMEX to be doing this. AMEX is not an "easy" credit card to get.

It’s actually perfectly logical. Think back a few years to occupy Wall Street and the targeting the 1%. The Uber-wealthy then felt just like middle-aged heterosexual white males do today sitting in a CRT class at a company they’ve invested 25 years in. So, they retargeted everybody’s angst - you don’t think these assholes really believe white supremacy is a problem in this country, do you?

Not at all. They are getting well ahead of the curve when corporations are taxed not by profit but by social merit scoring. We are less than 4 years away from this being implemented at some level.
