That makes sense, actually.

That explains his appeal to populists.

It also explains why his policy positions vary according to context.

I think appealing to the "Little Guy" is perfectly fine to take into account. As long as it's not the only thing driving the policy.

If it is...well. Go to Wal-Mart and look around. That's who you want making public policy?

Precisely. Populism.should be an influence, not an ideology.

I blame most of the interpretation of MAGA on influencers moreso than Trump himself. Trump is usually vague, they fill in the blanks.

If it is so easy to control Trump, why didn't he easily lose the election? Certainly you could control him into messing the whole thing up.

Speaking the truth about the guy is neither "hate" nor "TDS."

Trump isn't an infallible god. He's a flawed human being.

I also think he's riding a wave of destiny. I honestly think God wanted him to be POTUS.

But that doesn't mean he's perfect

I agree with this. He hasn't achieved his level of success by being a fool. He's obviously doing things differently this time and surrounded himself with good folks.
If his ego was as much of a problem as some here say he wouldn't have brought such influential into his circle. They all spent weeks at Mar A Lago meeting all day and discussing their plans. Seems to have gone well. No tantrums reported.

People know this country is being destroyed and want desperately for someone to be in charge that will fix that. Trump makes a lot of promises in that regard, but he doesn't deliver. And in return it's an endless series of excuses for him. Trump supporters absolutely refuse to hold him accountable for poor decisions. However, for those that criticize his poor decisions, all of a sudden they are bots or have TDS.

Trump promotes Capitalism, but like every forthright politician, they know that given the social and technological dynamics, that outside of the "let them eat cake" scenario that future Government most certainly be involved in "spreading the wealth around". AI and Robotics and all manner of Quantum Computer acquired knowledge and power will demand forms of social control that pure Free Market/Profit motive systems cannot address. Given Social Media, the allocation of GNP must not be for profit alone, but for some system which mitigates the massive population pressures and demands. Otherwise, it's a dog fight and "wailing and gnashing of teeth".

I do not understand complex economic principles, but I do see the inherent conflict between Capitalism/Individualism vs Marxism/Collectivism. And outside of a major collapse and Darwinian culling of said population, the conflict between those two polar ideologies must be finessed.

High Tech has the power to change this World like never before, or at least not in known Human history. I look to the day when Jesus/Truth reigns and "swords will be hammered into plow shears" and all the resources humanity currently allocates for competitive wars can be directed toward giving humanity REAL FREEDOM. And most certainly NOT Orwell's "Animal Farm" version. Such a System must be based on government subsidization to a relative degree, but not without basic QUALIFIERS. Social irresponsibility and greed-based grifting of the kind we now witness in DC cannot be tolerated. Everybody must put energy into the collective kitty.

I worship Freedom, and "ye shall know the Truth and it shall make you FREE". And I love that our Founder's served "the pursuit of happiness" and invented the first form of Government which recognized and served those principles. And the "rewarded according to your works" axiom as well. But we all change, becoming challenged with new and higher vision and aspirations. As it should be. 'Heaven' will not be boring with 'happiness' being served on a silver platter.

Happy Christmas to the Board. Thank you Jesus.

Van Jones of all people tried to caution the media about this, but they won’t listen. It’s time they take him for the formidable and highly intelligent force he is, and not the buffoon they believe him to be.

Boy wen you go off the deep end you really put an effort into it. Trump is known for knowing all the guys on work projects and asking about their families. He will inquire about a waiters day and family when is being waited on. He has called families way before his presidency and offered assistance. I will guarantee you that he personally see to things that help others in a week than you may have done in your life. There are plenty of stories out there about him but it’s the ones that his friends or regular people tell about that are the best. Is he braggadocios? Absolutely and that is as imbedded in him as anybody from Queens. Has he lived an interesting life? Absolutely but it’s not without regret, hardships and failures. He’s a person not a superhero
