urban support for Dems in cities with enormous populations.
the huge blue portion in south texas do not show up at the polls like the rest of the state. if the Latinos ever vote like Jews, Tex will be blue.

The only relevant maps to the parties of today probably go back 30 years.
In 1976 Republicans and Democrats had a lot more in common.

Poor high crime areas almost universally vote dem and have for a very long time.

Still turns border towns blue...and the answer is obvious why that happens.

Vote margin swing by state 2012 to 2016. Only twelve states trended more Democratic: Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Texas, Washington, Virginia and Utah.
Swing change (not overall winner) from 2012 to 2016 by county.
Looks like the area along the border actually turned more conservative / Republican in TX compared to 2012 for the most part. The Dems still won those areas, which are always deep deep blue, but the Repubs gained more voters in that span. Could be because the area was already Dem-saturated though.
The border other than TX, particularly in CA, and Utah/just north of it are the major Dem growers though.
WTF happened to/in Utah to spark that much of a change over to Dem?!

explain this map
Are you telling us that counties in which racial minorities constitute the majority of the County population ... might vote Democrat?
Holy shite!

As soon as I saw your name as the last poster I knew I was in to read some dumbass comment
Is that all what you took from the OP? Because you are conveniently leaving out why those areas are blue, which party caters to blue, and the lax voter requirements that I posted earlier.
Can you open your mind, just a tad?

Nothing but xenophobic sky-screaming.

Besides the reported incidents of voter fraud, combined with the ability to vote without an ID, combined with the closer to the border, generally the more blue...
You can't see a very likely cause of illegals voting?
Simply hiding your head in the sand is not the smart move, when symptoms are staring at you in the face.

may have something to do with Romney being a Mormon that went to BYU running in 2012.
did their numbers spike toward Repub in 2012 and 2016 was just a swing back toward their normal rates?

I guess that could be the case since its a map showing the change from 2012 to 2016. It stands to reason that there was more enthusiasm for Rs to vote in 12 than 16, but the state had been solid red for the previous two elections.

People born here are legal even if their parents came here illegally. All the whites moved out. The remaining however many Hispanics who are legal voted. The end.
Well more importantly in this scenario; the Valley is like 80% Hispanic, and in some areas it’s effectively 100% with no intention of assimilation to other parts of Texas. When I worked for the largest service company in North America, the McAllen yard got shut down to move to San Antonio. Not a single person moved. Their families wouldn’t let them leave the Valley. There is a huge problem with getting kids to even go to college. A&M recently extended one of its “main campus” branches to McAllen, already having College Station, Galveston and Doha, Qatar.
Hispanics assimilate well in every other part of the state, but the Valley is an issue.

You mean all the instances of voting fraud reported by Trump's election commission?
Oh wait, how many did they report?
In person voter ID to is bullcrap. No way meaningful numbers of voter fraud are going to be carried on at the polls.
Mail-in ballots could be another story but reported mail-in voter fraud is still not significant.
Why do people come on here over and over and make dumb-arse posts as if large-scale voter fraud is a given without anything to back it up?

Can you explain the map please? Are those Presidential results?
You probably shouldn't be posting on this board.
What do you think that map "proves."
What real statistics do you have to prove anything?
You're the one who shouldn't be posting on this board. Thinking that map 'proves" illegals voting is delusional.

People of color aren’t capable of driving to the DMV and getting an ID card!

Ok, now it's your turn. Give me an argument in support of voter ID that has nothing to do with race.

First, YOU didn't give me an argument.
Second, the title of your article is literally "why voter ID isn't racist." I said without involving race, that article is chock full of it.
That was my point - you and your liberal pals frame every argument and talking point through race and racism. There is no good argument against voter ID that your side has put forth, especially if you remove all racial implications from your carefully worded speeches on the matter.
There's many reasons FOR voter ID laws that have nothing to do with race - basically ALL of them. Most notably that you should have proof that you're a US citizen to vote in US election(s), simply put. Elections set the law of the land and have a far reaching impact, it's not akin to applying for a Kum & Go rewards card or even buying a pack of cigarettes (which you need ID for).
Why is it too much to ask to show proof of who you are? Everyone has an ID, it makes perfectly fine sense in every other facet of life when proof of identity is required except for voting? How does that make any kind of sense? How are these people without IDs even getting to the polls? How are they employed when employers keep a copy of your ID on file? How are they going through life without an ID?
They aren't, because they don't exist unless they're illegal or a teeeny-tiny percentage of homeless individuals.
