The Clinton impeachment was bipartisan. There was no dispute about the facts. Clinton was caught in a lie under oath. The dispute was over whether burning political capital was wise or not.

Clinton's impeachment was based on evidence and facts not 3rd and 4th hand speculation presented in clown show fashion. As a general rule the people knew and understood the reasons.

Clinton did commit perjury, that was indisputable. The argument was whether it was important enough for impeachment and removal from office. “It was just about sex” was the dems defense.
