Why did this school not have a specific alarm, different than the fire alarm to notify students of a shooting?

Why did the school not have active shooter (trespasser) protocol?

I know the private schools here in New Orleans can be completely locked down and silent in under 2 minutes.

Why are the outside doors/gates not locked during school hours? There should only be one main entrance into a school during school hours and it should be separate from any student centers or class halls.

These questions must be answered and addressed in the modern age.

The fault is on the FBI, the counselors, and most importantly the ADMINISTRATION of the school.

Period.

The Shitestain coward safety officer, pulling an Upham from Saving Private Ryan, could've prevented some lives being taken .

One small district I know of here in Texas has more than 70 entrances/exits.

It would be VERY expensive to secure all of them, but if local schools dropped sports (gasp), it would free up money and solve a lot of entitlement issues.

Dumb post. That school needs to secure itself or face the wrath of a shooter.

This was stated by the superintendent during a school board meeting. Take it up with him.

It would be a quick discussion. I would say secure your school sir/ma’am or you leave yourself open to attack and tragedy.

Or don’t and keep making excuses to fill some narrative or out of pure APATHY.

They should secure the school or look for a new job.

70 enterances is ridiculously poor planning.

I'm sure he was including sports facilities (chain link fences and multiple gyms), ancillary buildings (like transportation), the admin building, the band hall, etc etc etc.

All of which should be fenced in. By a heavy steel fence. If there is a road that cuts through school it should be monitored and students only allowed to cross under supervision. It’s not that difficult.

Excuses. That’s all you’ve got.

Protect the kids by doing a little extra work rather than bitch and moan about the 2A

Also, would you consider the private schools in nola (who work with a MUCH smaller budget) to be prisons? They do everything possible to restrict access from people outside of the school.
