quote:

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is warning his GOP colleagues to stop fighting with President Trump and focus on passing the party's agenda.

"It's like you’re back in junior high. ... We've got a job to do, damn it, and so all of this nonsense, I got nothing to say on it. Everyone shut up and do your job, is my view," Cruz told conservative radio host Mark Davis on Wednesday.

Cruz was asked about Republican Sens. Bob Corker (Tenn.) and Jeff Flake (Ariz.), who offered blistering criticism of Trump on Tuesday, but he didn't directly mention the two in his response.

He added that Americans are "frustrated" by Republicans’ inability to make good on years-long campaign promises.

"Well I think it's unfortunate the nastiness that pervades Washington now and political battles of personality that consume seemingly every minute of the media attention and an awful lot of time and energy here in this town," he said.

You understand it’s a play on words really right? Do I really have to explain it?

There's a reason why Bannon called him the safest senator in America and he will not be making a challenge to him.

Ted Cruz really has redeemed/atoned for himself and got right with jesus after that sinful, attention whoring, grandstanding stunt he pulled at the RNC.

I heard his name mentioned on Rush today...then flakes voting record in the senate, but it was a bit noisy in the shop and missed the person name reading the list, but pretty sure it wasn't Cruz. Flake was a democrat...it was pathetic.

I thought Cruz’s political career was over after his RNC speech but he was bailed out by Trump winning. And he has played it very smart since.

I really don’t like Cruz, but I think he has a good chance to make another run at the White House.

For this Trump should pardon Rafiel for any involvement in the JFK assassination. Especially with all the stuff being released today.

It's an improvement after that retarded strategy of sucking up to Trump and betting that he would eventually crash and burn so he can get his voters.

When it became clear that Trump wasn't going to crash and burn on his own and was actually full steam ahead to the nomination, Cruz started attacking Trump and that's how the Lying Ted label stuck.

What would this board do if Ted Cruz' father somehow showed up in those files?

Cruz was the best thing that occurred during the primary campaign. His speech at the RNC was a great speech for defining American ideals. The fact that such a speech was not in line with Trump's persona is not a bad reflection on anyone but Trump.

Trump was an absolute asshat during the primary - nothing he did was in line with American ideals.

All that said - I am glad things developed as they did and I am quite content with his agenda. I am also willing to agree that nobody else but Trump could have won the general election - but only because there is no way to prove otherwise.

None of that excuses the bullshite Trump dumped during the primary. Nothing he did 'deserved' his ultimate success. It is a mystery of the universe that something good came from all that bullshite.

But Cruz was the one true shining light during the whole process.

The 'lying Ted' label was another of Trump's buffoonery that makes him unfit for civil discourse. The only lying done was from the mouth of DJT. Nobody but braindead venal cretans believed that Cruz was the 'liar' - Trump embodied all the honesty of a prog/DEM/MSM operative.

I don't understand why - during this exhilarating moment of the DEMOCRAT apparatchik crumbling before out eyes - that anyone has to raise the dishonorable conduct of Trump during the campaign. I could never be friends with Trump on a personal basis for the absolute dishonesty and bullshite stagecraft he displayed during that campaign. He showed himself to be unworthy of respect.

I will continue to support Trump for what he is accomplishing - but I will also continue to defend true honor whenever it is attacked. Especially when the attack is gratuitous and with no basis.

Take your victory in the same honorable vein as Cruz took his defeat.
