If all it took was Indiana Jones becoming a woman, then you're SAWFT.

Yeah. I just though it had already been done.

Why do they have to REPLACE a current pop culture figure? DO they not have enough creative energy to MAKE a new movie with a new character? They are both lazy and foolish

This is a deeper question than you realize.

The answer is YES. They HAVE to replace current pop culture because the ideology is designed to attack the host, not create a fully functional world view.

Good.

Let pop culture destroy itself. It's become nothing but filth anyway. No one wants to see female Ghostbusters, a black James Bond, etc. Let them replace every iconic character with minorities, then watch the sales die out. Ask Marvel Comics about their sales after they replaced Tony Stark with a teenaged black chick.

I'm gonna predict a huge, huge box office flop that's blamed on misogynism.

Exactly. And when the reboots fail… some type of -ism will be the cited reason. Sexism, racism, nationalism, etc.

where they unnecessarily had to make his brother gay

Same thing happened in Jungle Cruise, which was a perfectly good "Indy" type movie with a female lead.

The brother being an effeminate character was kinda played for laughs, which it would have also been years ago.

However, this go around they had to explain his backstory and have the Rock validate what he was.

Check the box, in a kids film, subtle subtext, push the narrative "Love is Love".

Does she get naked? If so, that's something I could maybe get behind.

You certainly can't do an all-female Fast & Furious and make it realistic without women texting and racing and crashing, but in another ten years we probably get it minus them texting.

We were supposed to get a girl power F&F with 9. Now, it's going to be a spinoff like Hobbes and Shaw.

Fast & Furious 9 Cast Enthuses About Female-Centric Spinoff

There were rumblings that this Indiana Jones would be more tokenism. This would seem to confirm that. I'm not wasting my time on yucky JAP Indiana Jones. Why would anyone?

Kathleen Kennedy is out to ruin every good franchise that she can get her feminist hands on. I look forward to future movies losing money.

Ghostbusters again.

Tired of them repackaging old characters and settings instead of coming up with new ones.

I tired of seeing a 120lb female knockout a 230lb body builder with one punch.
